A 'real' tennis experience

Trips

On Thursday, four Year 5 boys were lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend a Real Tennis Workshop at The Oratory. There are just 52 real tennis courts in the world, and we were lucky enough to play on one of them and have coaching from 7 time and current Women's World Champion, Claire Fahey. Claire became the youngest world champion for real tennis in 2011 when she was just 19.

For those unfamiliar with real tennis, it is a mixture of squash, tennis, and fives. James B, Tristan H, Blake J and Milo R were the lucky boys who attended the workshop. They did some drills and had some coaching from Claire in the morning, followed by a mini tournament in the afternoon.

It was a brilliant day out and a fantastic experience for the boys. They behaved brilliantly and were a real credit to the school. Have a good weekend!
