The Senior School travelled to the picturesque setting of Magdalen College. Having lost the toss, the hosts made a good start. Some tight bowling from Lucas G and a sharp catch from Ishaan C helped slow the run rate but some powerful hitting at the end of the innings took the score to 188. In reply after losing some early wickets George M and Harvey L batted nicely putting on over fifty. The runs continued to flow throughout the innings and a late flurry of runs from Joe B [including a six into the river] left us 25 runs short. A great experience and effort from all of the boys in our first competitive fixture.
