Upper Sixth A v Oratory Prep School (A)
This Wednesday we took the long journey to visit our friends at Oratory Prep to play two games, one against the hosts and one against Pinewood.
With injuries and illness restricting availability we lined up with 11 players needing to play two games back to back so energy management was key. Once again Xavi L was tireless throughout in both attack and defence, Larry W covered more ground than any other player in all 3 teams and Nate W defied the size difference between him and his opponents to battle for every ball in midfield.
Ultimately it was a tough day at the office for the team with a close defeat against Oratory Prep before Pinewood's slick passing and experience showed through to inflict another battling defeat. Rafer S made numerous important saves and the centre back pairing of dual Wills (Will W and Will S) made tackle after tackle.
I was hugely proud to see every player give their all throughout and despite some understandably disappointed faces we were revived with a lovely match tea and sing song on the bus back. We go again after half term!
