On Monday evening the annual Sport Awards Dinner was held, to recognise and celebrate the achievement and contribution of senior boys in sport this year. 79 senior boys, that’s over 90% of all Upper and Lower Sixth, have represented Bruern in inter-school matches this year – sports such as rugby, football cricket, shooting, polo, cross country, tennis, and golf. Those that were able to attend the awards dinner, were treated to steak and chips, followed by brownies and ice cream, during a formal ceremony in the drawing room. Staff who have helped manage, coach, and supervise squads and teams during the year, were also present.
Trophies were presented during the evening, to award winners across the various sports, see the list below. Everyone was presented with their 2023 sporting colours, in the form of a Bruern Abbey Sport 2023 cap.
Well done to everyone who has contributed to sport. It’s been another busy and rewarding year with so many successes, not least the increasing number of boys that participate in and enjoy sport!
