In only their second fixture this term the Senior C's took to the road and played at the plush surroundings of The Dragon School in Oxford. The boys had had two days prior to the match to practice and they looked ready and hopeful for a win again. Ably led by captain Matthew E, the boys took to the field in cold conditions. Despite the cold the boys looked ready and excited about playing a good game. From the off Bruern were focussed and started quickly. We had really been working on keeping the ball alive and possession and it was encouraging to see the boys really try hard to do this in the game. Christopher K showed particularly good skills in the ruck and breakdown and the Bruern forwards looked intent on enforcing control. This hard work allowed the backs to really cause some real havoc amongst the Dragon defence. Orchestrated by Olly F and George R, Bruern made constant inroads and the tries were evenly spread out amongst the team. One of the many highlights was seeing Ollie CT bursting through from the halfway line to score his first two tries for Bruern. It was a real privilege to watch this team in action and despite the conditions they played with a smile and enthusiasm. It was fine preparation for their game next week against Abingdon. Well done boys!!
