The Upper Sixth held their rugby house tournament on Wednesday afternoon, rescheduled from a couple of week ago. Unfortunately, due to absentees, the usual rugby 7’s format couldn’t be played, so Churchill teamed up with Wellington and Drake with Nelson, to play one larger 11 aside match. Churchill and Wellington got off to a great start with 3 early trys and finished the first half 8-3 ahead. However, Drake and Nelson fought back and had the better second half, outscoring their opponents 1-3. The match ended 9-6, with Churchill and Wellington earning bragging rights (for now!) and possibly more importantly earning their houses well-deserved points.
