The rugby season is back and after the first few weeks of training the boys were eager to get back out on the pitch. We travelled to Sibford and hoped that we could put on a strong performance. First half we were uphill, into wind with a decent length of grass underfoot certainly a tough first 20 minutes on the legs. We had gone 2 tries down quickly into the opening 5 minutes but we fought back and we put some great phases of play together with the half ending at 4 tries all. The second half we had the advantage of the slope and knew that if we came out quickly and applied pressure we could get the game to swing in our favour. Straight away we continued how we ended the first half. We carried the ball well into contact and began to attack at pace whilst moving the ball into the wider areas. We were strong at the breakdown and gave the opposition little time to reorganise. The game ended 8-5 to Bruern. It was a fantastic team effort, and a special mention goes to James T, Alex R and Tom B making their rugby debuts for Bruern. Well done to all the boys and our next game is Away on Monday at MCS
