On Thursday the golf team ventured to Swanbourne for their latest fixture. Swanbourne's 6-hole course is not long, but very tricky. With small greens, undulating fairways and thick rough.
The boys paired up and played a variation of foursomes, which involved the boys all hitting tee shots before choosing the best one and then changing to alternate shots until the hole is finished.
Despite the new format, the boys applied themselves extremely well and put up a very good fight in each match.
In the end, home advantage and course familiarity meant that Swanbourne were the victors.
A big well done to all the boys who played, particularly those boys who were making their debuts this time around. Golf is really booming at Bruern, and we hope to get a couple more fixtures in after half term.
