On Wednesday, The A’s travelled to the Dragon. It was always going to be a tough match and we were a few short due to illness and injury.
The Dragon started on the front foot and went 2-0 up early on. Despite this, we never looked scared or worried continued to play our style of football. Frank J and Bruno T were keeping the team going and working hard in centre midfield.
At half time, we held them to just a 2-0 lead and we were still in it. We started the second half as if it was 0-0 and left everything out on the pitch. Thanks to another good game from Narayan B and a surprise appearance from Theo R, we prevented them from scoring again. This means we drew the second half 0-0.
Despite losing 2-0, we played arguably our best football of the season “as a team” and their master in charge stated it was one of the best teams they have played this season, which is all down to the passion and desire from the boys.
Special mention to Tom S who played the second half for the A’s due to another boy being injured. Tom did himself proud and more than helped us out !
On to our final game next week against Beachborough…!
