Football: Lower Sixth B v Sibford (A)
The Lower Sixth B team made the trip to Sibford on a sunny, but windy Tuesday afternoon. The boys were extremely eager to play as we had missed a match due to ice the previous week. We took a squad of 14 for a 11 a side game. From the kick off we pressed the opposition into their own half to control the game away from our goal. We took a while to get into it with both teams having a fair amount of possession each. Finally we grabbed the first goal and from there started to gain some dominance. This was shortly followed by another with us 2-0 up at the break. After a team talk I told the boys to focus on playing the ball into space and wide areas whilst passing the ball quickly and at pace. This was certainly taken on board and our second half display was extremely impressive. Both Rudy S and Aston B scoring hat tricks with Toby B and Theo R also on the score sheet. A positive game for us and plenty of momentum to take into next weeks fixture.
