On a glorious spring day, the colts travelled to the picturesque city of Oxford to play my almer mater, Magdalen College School. The boys were ready and excited at playing against the opposition. Captain Blake J was keen and enthusiastic and this filtered through the team. The 3 star players were our defensive trio of William G, Mark R, and Will W. The first half was a stunning team effort of defensive play that drew great admiration from the MCS coach and the boys played with great heart and determination. Nico H also created chances for our strikers with his raking long balls, both Blake J and Finlay C were getting into great positions up front but were not able to convert the chance.
It was a lovely day in great surroundings and despite our best efforts MCS won 4-0. However everybody encouraged each othe and the MCS coach was very complimentary of the team's cameradrie and joyful attitude. My thanks to MCS for being wonderful hosts. Well done boys on a superb effort!
