The Colts Red ended the term by attending a football tournament hosted by Oratory Prep in Reading. On a day vaguely resembling spring the Reds were in a group which also had Moulsford, Clares Court and Oratory Prep. The format was 8 a-side. It was a tough group for the boys as they were facing bigger and more skilled schools. However, they remained committed to each other and were determined to enjoy the day. Milo R once again led by example, tackling fiercely, and trying to create space for his strikers to threaten the opposition goal. Sam D was excellent in goal and pulled off save after save. Adam H and Mark R were once again robust in defence.
Despite their best efforts the other schools were too well drilled and organised as they patiently waited for the opportunities to arise, and they took them all. A brave effort from the reds but unfortunately, we lost all games. As the picture will attest, the boys enjoyed every minute of it and always played with a smile.
