Football: Colts Green v Abingdon Prep
This week saw the boys make the short journey to Abingdon Prep. The boys made a very fast start and were very unlucky not to take the early lead as a shot from the edge of the box ricocheted on the crossbar, to compound their misery, Abingdon raced up the other end to take a 1-0 lead. This lead was doubled before half-time, leaving the boys an uphill battle in the second period.
Credit to the boys as they once again came flying out the traps at the start of the half, the only difference being that this time they got the goal they deserved! The boys continued to push for the equaliser throughout the second half! Sadly, this week, it didn’t come for them and the Abingdon boys picked us off in late stages to make the result a bit more one sided than it should have been.
Well done to all the players and thank you to the parents that came to watch.
