With gloomy looking weather and forecast Bruern Abbeys captain Olly F won the toss for the second week in a row and elected to bowl. Rupert N and William B opened, and it took nearly 2 overs before Ashfold scored their first run! A smart run out and a superb caught and bowled from Bruno T put Bruern into a great position. Ashfold finished on 96 off their 20 overs. Max M and Theo R bravely took on the responsibility to face Ashfold's left arm quick. After a few unplayable deliveries we fell to 20-4 before a strong partnership between Max B and Matthew W started to raise some hope. Unfortunately, we fell short of the target being bowled out for 51.
A lot of positives and ultimately a great improvement on our game last week's game.
