An enthusiastic colts bunch struck lucky with a beautifully bright afternoon at Bruern, hosting The Dragon School. Bruern batted first and displayed some well developed batting from their practice in the nets; Lawrence C R-B was fantastic, batting well and thoroughly enjoying his overs. Eddie T and both Will G and Will W gave solid efforts too, bagging a number of runs between them. Despite a positive start, Bruern unfortunately fell short in the end, however the smiles on the boys faces, pride in their particular roles and responsibilities and the collective effort shown meant for a very happy and content group at the end of the match. The boys can rest assured that their cricket is coming on very well, it’s been excellent to see some newer faces stepping up to play hardball games too recently. Here’s to next week whilst we pray for another sunny warm spell too.
