Bruern hosted Christ Church in this week's cricket fixture and, with the sun out, Bruern elected to bowl. Anthony C and Will B opened up against two very strong opening batsmen and Christ Church got off to a strong start. Rupert N produced our first breakthrough with a superb yorker before the other opener retired on 50. George R, Bruno T and Charlie O clawed Bruern back into the contest leaving Christ Church on 103 off their 20 overs. We knew Christ Church would come out firing and they did just that reducing us to 10-4 very quickly. Anthony C played a heroic innings of 42* and a few cameo's from Bruno T and Alex DB got us to a respectable final score of 84.
