OX26 goes to SW19
Mr Vadivale. managed to kindly sort out a load of Court 2 tickets for the whole of the Upper Sixth to go to Wimbledon this year. It was a terrific treat which all the boys - and the lucky supervising staff - savoured to the max. In scorching weather, we witnessed some spectacular doubles, the highlight being the gentleman's invitation men's match, featuring the comical and wily Tommy Haas and Mark Philippoussis.
Some plucky and adventurous Bruern boys managed to sweet-talk their way onto centre court to watch Djokovic; some glimpsed Nadal; others found themselves on TV!
All had great fun and it was certainly a day to remember!
