Four of our senior boys recently completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition, navigating the spectacular coastline and countryside of the Isle of Purbeck.
Day 1 saw the team set off from Studland, hiking around the iconic Old Harry Rocks and following the South West Coast Path into Swanage Bay.
On Day 2, they turned inland, heading north to pick up the Purbeck Way. From there, they made steady progress westwards, passing through Corfe Castle and continuing towards Kimmeridge.
Their final day, Day 3, took them from Kimmeridge up to Knowle Hill before descending to follow the River Frome into Wareham, where they finished at the historic Priory.
Throughout the expedition, the boys worked superbly as a team, supported one another with good humour, and showed impressive resilience. They particularly enjoyed the breath-taking sea views and coastal scenery along the way. We are very proud of their efforts and the spirit in which they undertook the challenge.
