On Wednesday 18 March, the UK Government announced the closure of all schools due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic. The staff at Bruern Abbey School have been working closely with our colleagues across the Bellevue Group of schools to proactively ensure all the virtual learning tools are in place to ensure continuity of education for our pupils and all pupils across the group. The first day of virtual learning was Monday 23 March, and will be in place until further notice and advice from the UK Government.
Lent Term still ended on the planned date, and we are preparing for Summer Term to start as scheduled – virtually or physically. Summer half term has been brought forward by two weeks to fit better with potential dates that Government might allow schools to re-open, and is now set to begin on Friday 22nd May 22nd at 3.40pm, with term resuming on Monday 1st June at 9.00am. While Bruern Abbey School is closed due to government advice, unfortunately it will not be possible to visit us in person. However, Admissions is still open, and we are encouraging families who are interested in joining the school this September or later on to get in touch on email@example.com or complete our enquiry form.
