On Monday evening, the annual Sport Awards Dinner was held, to recognise and celebrate the achievement and contribution of senior boys in sport this year. 80 Upper and Lower Sixth boys have represented Bruern in inter-school matches this year – sports such as rugby, football cricket, shooting, polo, cross country, tennis and golf. Those that were able to attend the awards dinner, took part in the presentations held outside and then treated indoors with a formal dinner of steak and chips, followed by brownies and ice cream. Staff who have helped manage, coach and supervise squads and teams during the year, were also present.
Trophies were presented to award winners across the various sports, see the list below. Then everyone was presented with their 2024 sporting “colours”, in the form of a Bruern Abbey Sport 2024 cap.
Well done to everyone who has contributed to sport. It’s been another busy and rewarding year with so many successes, not least the increasing number of boys that participate in and enjoy sport!
