Ebu K-B led an excited Bruern Colts side to a well-deserved win against New College School on Wednesday afternoon; it was Ebu's first time captaining the team and he did so with enthusiasm and himself had a great game too!
Bruern opened by batting and quickly began to rack up a fair number of runs, Hector E and Finnlay C did a great job confidently getting Bruern's match off to a great start, followed by some brilliant efforts from the rest of the team that followed, namely Francis F and Eddie T.
Later in the game, Bruern sealed the win well with some excellent defensive play by being proactive whilst fielding and communicating effectively. Max J impressed with his developed bowling ability, bowling out a batsman, Ebu caught out one of New College's batsmen and the team continued to pull together, visibly enjoying the game and having a lovely afternoon in the sun.
Well done to all of the boys who played and did a great job of representing the school. The Bruern boys finished the game 34 runs ahead of their opponents and look forward to finishing the cricket season off well in the final 2 weeks.
