Parents wishing to visit the School should contact the School Secretary.
Relevant academic and psychological reports should be presented.  Evidence of talent or promise in such areas as music, art or sport is welcomed.

Parents who, following their visit, would like their son to be considered for a place at the School should fill in a registration form and pay the non-returnable Registration Fee.

The School will then make arrangements for their son to visit the School for an informal assessment morning, which are held regularly throughout the year. Following this informal assessment a prospective pupil, particularly if he is to be a boarder, may be asked to return to the School for a short trial visit.

Entry is of necessity selective. Pupils must show that they have the innate intelligence to manage the demanding academic routine for which they will ultimately be heading, and that they are equipped to cope with the teaching programme and School routine, as evidenced by a recent Educational Psychologist’s Assessment. This Assessment, which is required for every prospective pupil, must have been conducted within the last six months by an Educational Psychologist known to the School and must give full details of the pupil’s abilities and difficulties in learning, and current attainments in spelling,
writing and numeracy

If the School decides to offer a place, a letter of offer and an Acceptance Form will be sent to the parents, which must be signed by both parents and returned to the School with the Acceptance Deposit.  The Acceptance Deposit will usually be repaid as a credit without interest to the final invoice, unless another arrangement has been made.

Fees, which are of necessity high and reflect the smaller form sizes and specialist teaching offered by the School, are reviewed annually and are inclusive of all extras except individual sessions, if required, with Speech, Language or Occupational Therapists, and individual lessons in instrumental music, or sporting activities such as riding, golf, clay pigeon shooting, etc. Personal extra expenses incurred may be charged to the termly bill.  Fees are payable before the start of each term.  In the event of late payment, interest may be charged.

One term's notice in writing is required of a decision to withdraw a boy from the School, and a full term's fees will be charged in lieu of this notice.

One term's notice is required to cancel the acceptance of a place or the first term's fees will be payable as a debt.  Parents who cancel acceptance with a term's notice will not have the Acceptance Deposit refunded to them, but they will not be charged for the first term's fees.

By signing the Acceptance Form and paying the Acceptance Deposit, parents are deemed to have understood and agreed to the terms and conditions and are jointly and individually responsible for the payment of fees.

Further details on the School’s admissions arrangements may be found in its Admission Policy, a copy of which is available on request.
